Privacy policy

At Nam Fruits, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains how Nam Fruits Inc. collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit www.namfruits.com or buy from us, in accordance with Canadian privacy laws, including Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

1. Who We Are

Nam Fruits Inc., Suite 218 – 4360 Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse, Mont-Royal, QC H4N 2P7, Canada.

Person in charge of the protection of personal information: Chief Executive Officer, info@namfruits.com.

2. Information We Collect

  • Information you give us: your name, shipping and billing address, email, phone number, order details, messages you send through our contact, wholesale or order forms, and reviews you submit
  • Payment information: processed securely by our payment providers — we do not store credit card numbers
  • Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and session information, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5)
  • Your location, only if you allow it: on our Where to Buy page, your browser asks your permission to share your location so we can show the stores nearest you. You can refuse and type a city or postal code instead. Your location is used in your browser to sort the stores and show the map of your area; we do not receive or store it. If you type a city, address or postal code, it is sent to our map search providers to find it on the map (see section 4).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process, ship and track your orders, and send you order updates
  • Answer your questions and wholesale inquiries
  • Send you marketing emails, only if you subscribe — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email
  • Display product reviews
  • Measure and improve our website and show you ads, only if you accept analytics or marketing cookies
  • Keep our website secure, prevent fraud, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations

4. Who We Share It With

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the following people and organizations, for the purposes described:

  • Shopify, which hosts our online store, checkout and payments (see the Shopify Privacy Policy)
  • Mailchimp (Intuit), which sends our email newsletters to subscribers and receives customer and order information from our online store
  • Judge.me, which collects and displays product reviews
  • Google, which provides our business email, the web fonts used on our website, and the store list and map icons of our store locator
  • LocationIQ, Photon (komoot), the OpenStreetMap Germany map servers (FOSSGIS e.V.) and unpkg, which provide the map, the map software and the address search of our store locator, and receive your IP address, the map area you view and any city, address or postal code you search for
  • Zoho, which we use for customer support, sales and invoicing records
  • Our warehouse and shipping carriers, to deliver your orders
  • Analytics and advertising partners, only if you accept analytics or marketing cookies
  • Government or legal authorities, when the law requires it

Within Nam Fruits, the people who may access your information are those who handle order processing and shipping, customer service, accounting, and our website and marketing.

5. Cookies and Your Choices

When you visit our website from Canada or another region where consent is required, a banner asks for your consent. Essential cookies, which make the cart, checkout and security work and remember your choice, are always on. Analytics, personalization and marketing cookies stay off unless you accept them. If you decline, you can still browse and buy on our website.

You can change your choice at any time: Change my cookie preferences. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings.

6. Where Your Information Is Stored

Our service providers may store and process your information outside Québec and outside Canada, including in the United States and Europe. In those places, it may be accessible to local authorities under local laws.

7. How We Protect Your Information

We use industry-standard security measures — including encryption and secure servers — to protect your information from unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure. While no system is 100% secure, we do our best to safeguard your data.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — including legal, accounting, and tax requirements — after which it is securely destroyed.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct it, or to delete it (subject to legal obligations)
  • Receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format
  • Withdraw your consent at any time: for marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link; for cookies, use the link in section 5

To exercise your rights, write to our person in charge of the protection of personal information at info@namfruits.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will answer in writing within 30 days of receiving your request.

If you have a concern or complaint about how we handle your personal information, write to the same address and describe it. Our person in charge will review it and answer you in writing. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our website and products are not directed at children under the age of 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you believe a child under 14 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
